How movies changed our Society

From the black-and-whites to the all-colored films, movies have always been the number 1 entertainer throughout the world.

Directors, producers, actors and all the staffs and crews should have the highest standing ovation, the loudest claps and the most accepted praises for making history records.

But it’s not just the movies. It is widely important that we learn how all these movies change the way we think about life.

From the romantic blockbuster Titanic, it made us realize what love truly is. It made is change the way we look on some boys and men. That not all of them are as bad as they look. It made us read the pages first before ignorantly judging the book.

There’s no truer love than Rose and Jack’s for it is a true story. People are highly attracted on true stories and nowadays, anything that is inspired from a true story could make movie theaters flood with wondering people.

Years later, James Cameron made a Science Fiction blockbuster that made people lose their mind. Mind you that Avatar was not a true story and yet it beated Titanic down to second place.

This just shows that people are more captivated in true stories before, compare to now that they are more interested in fictions and mysteries.

That explains a huge change in the society.

When Titanic came out, people got more interested in true love. Not that the tragedy didn’t gave tears in their hearts, but the highlight of the movie is all about love. Unconditional love.

This made people curious about true love and from what we may expect, they wanted to experience that kind of love as well.

Many expectations have been killed because of this. But it’s because those people got wrong expectations. They seem to be looking for the perfect love. When it doesn’t really exist. You need to get hurt when it comes to love. Others just give up too easily.

The movie-franchise Harry Potter gave adults and teenagers the hope of being a witchcraft and wizard. It gave the world a different kind of sparkle that diffferenciates good from evil.

It gave people a different Point-of-View towards other people and thinking of them as muggles or non-magic folks.

People might have a huge change in their lives because it made them believe that they are different from the rest which makes them stand-out and capable of handling any societal pressure.

When it comes to fate, the movie Wanted made lots of people think that there’s something more to their life than the usual boring everyday-schedule. It’s not bad to think that there is some hidden society out there who is looking for you and wants you to get recruited. It may be the other way around in which you’re the one who wanted to get recruited.

But don’t worry, you’re already recruited into something that’s full of questions and mysteries and in the future, you are tasked to answer those questions and make yourself better ; it’s called life.

Nobody is safe from these changes in their mind and in their attitude.

If people change, society changes as well.

There’s no stopping this kind of progress. Or is this really a sign of progress ?

Or is it just some illusion made by the change of our mind from the movies ?

You tell me.
